Michon C. Young is a proud native of Gary, Indiana. She has resided in Michigan for several years and considers Detroit, MI her second hometown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u200bA gifted psalmist and song writer, Michon has been singing and writing since the age of 12. Michon started her professional musical career by being hand selected by Pastor Marvin L.Winans to sing background on his debut concert in Detroit, Michigan for the release of his 1st solo CD, \u201cAlone but Not Alone\u201d. She has traveled extensively singing background for Pastor Winans and was honored to sing a duet with him at the Grand Opening of Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u200bMichon has opened for Grammy Award Winner CeCe Winans , renowned Jazz trumpeter TL Williams and a host of others. Michon has also appeared on several local televised programs including the Dorinda Clark-Cole nationally syndicated television show. Michon released her debut album \u201cPossessing the Promise\u201d in 2011. Several songs from this project climbed charts in the U.K. and were featured on U.K. radio personality Brian Hurst\u2019s Best of Soul and Jazz 2012 compilation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2015, Michon\u2019s single \u201c Always Remember\u201d was ranked #1 in the UK\u2019s soul and jazz charts of best independent songs within the past five year period. Currently, many songs from this project still receive frequent airplay in Switzerland, Africa and London. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
